Get free EV miles with the Bring Your Own Charger® Program
NMLD and Sagewell Inc. are partnering to bring you this valuable EV rewards program open to Norwood residents. Get up to 250* miles of free EV driving each month—or up to 3,000 miles per year—per vehicle by agreeing to charge up your EV only overnight and on weekends. Simply set your car to charge between 10pm and 12 pm on weekdays and complete the enrollment process to start earning free EV miles. If you already have an EV, you can still enroll in the program.
You are eligible to participate if you:
- Own or lease an EV, either a battery electric vehicle (BEV) that runs exclusively on electricity, or a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that runs on electricity but can also switch to gas/electric hybrid mode
- Have a Norwood residential electric account that you use to charge your EV
Residents charging at either Level 1 or Level 2 may participate in the program.

Maximum enrollment is limited to 2 EVs per household.

Get up to $1,000 back with the Level 2 Charging Rebate Program
Norwood Electric is offering EV owners a rebate of up to $1,000 to help offset the cost of installing some or all components of a Level 2 system for higher speed charging of an electric vehicle at home. Customers must first enroll in Norwood Drives Electric’s EV off-peak charging rewards program described above. A Level 2 charging system consists of a 240 volt wiring circuit from your house electrical panel to a NEMA 14-50 outlet or to a home EV charging station.
The rebate may be used to pay for a licensed electrician’s services and electrical charging equipment, in order to install one or more of the following charging system components: (1) a 240 volt wiring circuit with a 50 amp circuit breaker, (2) a NEMA 14-50 240V outlet, (3) a Level 2 home charging station. The rebate provided will be up to $1,000 or the amount of documented, eligible charging system expenditures, whichever is less.
To claim your rebate, contact us after you enroll in the EV rewards program and have purchased and installed your Level 2 charging equipment.
